Dear MOSIP Community,
We are excited to announce the release of Inji Mobile Wallet v0.19.0, made available on 8th September 2025.
Early Release: This version introduces SD-JWT VC support for issuance and download. The Verifiable Presentation (VP) flow with verifiers, enabling selective claim disclosure, is planned for the upcoming October 2025 release.
This release strengthens support for IETF SD-JWT Verifiable Credentials (VCs) and enhances the VC verification experience across Android and iOS with updates to our vc-verifier library.
What’s New in v0.19.0
- SD-JWT VC Format Support
- Constructed IETF SD-JWT VC issuance payloads in VCI Client Library (Kotlin & Swift).
- Added SD-JWT validation and disclosure display after verification.
- Integrated SD-JWT VC verification into the VC Verifier Library.
- VC Verifier Library Enhancements
- Support for x509 certificate chains in SD-JWT as per IETF draft (sections 3.5–3.2.1).
- Improved parsing of JSON payloads in OVP sharing flows with multi-language support.
- Credential Handling Improvements
- Updated LDP-VC (JSON-LD) display property to refresh metadata from the database.
- Enhanced error handling for VC activation and downloads (MOSIP VCs, Mock VCs, mDL VCs).
- Fixed BLE rendering issue for offline VC sharing.
Note on Signature Verification
Signature verification support is limited on iOS. Since the vc-verifier library is not yet available for iOS, signature verification is currently not performed for mso_mdoc and SD-JWT credential formats. For LDP-VC (JSON-LD), verification is supported only for RSA key suites; EC and Ed25519 verification is not yet available. Please refer to the library ReadMe for details.
