Dear MOSIP Community,
We are pleased to inform you that the scheduled maintenance and platform upgrade activities for the MOSIP Collab environment have been successfully completed, and all services are now available for use.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation during the maintenance window.
Important Update – Dynamic OTP Authentication in eSignet
As part of this upgrade, MOSIP no longer supports static OTPs. All OTPs are now generated dynamically and must be retrieved at the time of authentication.
New Identities Created After the Upgrade
For any new identities created, a valid email address must be provided during registration.
The authentication OTP will be delivered to the registered email address and must be entered during login or authentication.
Existing Identities Created Before the Upgrade
Existing identities (UINs) created before the platform upgrade can continue to be used for testing purposes. Authentication for these identities will also use dynamic OTPs; however, the OTPs can be retrieved from the mock SMTP mailbox configured in the Collab environment.
Temporary Issue with Mock SMTP
We are currently experiencing a temporary issue with the mock SMTP service, and the team is actively working on a fix.
In the meantime, users are encouraged to use a valid email address while creating identities. This will allow you to receive authentication OTPs directly in your email inbox, obtain a UIN, and continue testing other platform features without interruption.
We will share an update once the mock SMTP service is fully restored.
Should you encounter any issues while using the upgraded environment, please reach out through the usual support channels.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
Regards,
MOSIP Team
