Release Announcement : Inji Verify v0.14.0 is here!

Dear Community Members,

We are thrilled to announce the release of Inji Verify v0.14.0, which delivers major enhancements to OpenID4VP Same Device flows, SDK modularization and verification result handling.

Key Highlights of v0.14.0

New Features:

  • OpenID4VP Same-Device flow via deeplink : Inji Verify now supports the OpenID4VP Same Device Flow, allowing the verifier and wallet to operate on the same mobile device and be able to share the verifiable credentials from mobile wallet as per the request initiated by Inji Verify.

  • Inji Verify SDK – OpenID4VP VP Verification Component incorporates same device functionality as well

    • Modular NPM Package: Released as a standalone TypeScript component for easy integration into verifier/relying party apps.

    • Compatibility: Supported for React + TypeScript verifier apps (React 18.2.0). Broader framework and language support planned in upcoming releases.

Additional Enhancements:

  • OpenID4VP – QR Codes via request_uri:

    • QR codes now reference the Authorization Request via request_uri instead of embedding it directly. This helps reduce QR codes size, improved security and alignment with OpenID4VP best practices.
  • DID-based client_id:

    • Support for DID-based client_id values (as per OpenID4VP Draft 23).

    • Replaces deprecated client_id_scheme for improved interoperability and trust with decentralized identifiers.

  • VP Verification Results Display:

    • Verification results now show all requested credentials, including those newly shared after a missing credential prompt. Statuses (Valid, Invalid, Valid but Expired) are clearly displayed, with confirmation once all checks are completed.

With these improvements, Inji Verify continues to advance as a secure, modular, and developer-friendly solution for Verifiable Credential verification.
