Help Needed: Stuck on Step 3 of Mimoto Setup on Local Machine

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up Mimoto on my local machine and need some assistance. I’m following the setup process, but I’m stuck at Step 3. Below are the steps I’ve followed so far:

  1. Created a loader_path folder under the docker-compose directory and downloaded the kernel auth adapter (kernel-auth-adapter-1.2.0.1.jar) from here.
  2. Copied the downloaded JAR file into the loader_path directory and renamed it to kernel-auth-adapter.jar.
  3. Stuck: Need to add ID providers as issuers in the mimoto-issuers-config.json file, but I can’t find this file in the project directory.
  4. Started Esignet services and updated Esignet host references in mimoto-default.properties and mimoto-issuers-config.json.
  5. Created a certs folder and set up the OIDC client, added the key to oidckeystore.p12, and copied this file to the certs folder. Reference to create client.
  6. Updated client_id and client_alias in the mimoto-issuers-config.json file.
  7. Updated the p12 file password (mosip.oidc.p12.password) in the mimoto-default.properties file.
  8. To start the docker-compose file, I ran the command docker-compose up.

Issue: I’m unable to locate the mimoto-issuers-config.json file. Has anyone encountered this problem or can guide me on how to proceed?

I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Hi @bhaveshkorane ,

Welcome to the community! All the configurations required for Mimoto’s docker compose are available here.

Here you can see the mimoto-issuers-config.json as well.

I hope this helps you. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Hello,

I tried to install it on my local machine, but it kept failing. After your previous reply, I successfully started the Mimoto service and Inji Web. However, when I tried to start it again, it wouldn’t start, and the steps in the documentation aren’t very clear.

Could you please guide me through the necessary steps to set up the entire Inji Wallet on the web for a local machine? That would be really helpful.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @bhaveshkorane ,

To assist you better and ensure we provide a clear, step-by-step solution, could you please share the following details?

  1. At which specific step are you encountering an issue?
  2. Are there any error messages or logs you’ve noticed during the process? if so please share.
  3. Any specific part of the documentation that feels unclear or incomplete to you?

Your feedback will also help us refine our documentation to make it clearer for everyone. Once we have these details, we’ll guide you through the setup process and address any gaps in the steps.

Best Regards,

Hi @Vibha_Gondkar , Team MOSIP

Thank you for your response. To enhance the support experience and streamline the resolution process, I propose creating a detailed video tutorial on setting up the project locally.

This tutorial would serve as a comprehensive guide, addressing common challenges and minimizing the risk of misconfigurations, which can often derail the entire setup process. Empowering users with a clear step-by-step resource can significantly reduce dependency on the community portal for basic setup queries. Only advanced or uncommon issues would require escalation, allowing your team to focus on more critical tasks.

Such a resource would not only enhance user adoption but also improve overall efficiency. I believe this would be a valuable addition to the existing documentation. Please let me know if this can be prioritized or if further inputs are needed.
