Are MOSIP-Compatible Devices already has Biometric Device Service (MDS), that will provide API to connect to Client Application (like reg-client).
Is it correct that if a manufacturer marks a device as MOSIP-Compatible, or if I find it listed on https://marketplace.mosip.io/ , then when I buy that device, the manufacturer also provides the MDS? And with Device + Manufacturer MDS + Reg-client I can add registration data.
Or does MOSIP-Compatible mean that the device only includes the SDK/drivers, and I need to develop the MDS myself?
Maybe I’m not using the right terms, and I should use the term Secure Biometric Interface (SBI) instead Biometric Device Service(MDS)?
Hi @Igor,
MOSIP-compatible devices come with their own SBI. You can proceed with the integration, and if you encounter any issues, please feel free to reach out to us.
